For four years, Mário lived in Latin America,
where he became captivated by tropical fruits. Shortly before returning to Portugal, at a dinner, he met a businessman in the dehydrated fruit sector.
Mário became involved in what would soon become his life project.
Travelling through rough roads and facing challenging journeys, he visited local producers with the goal of securing products of exceptional quality, aligned with environmental sustainability.
When he returned to Portugal, he developed a solid and ambitious plan for TRUPPI.
With unwavering dedication and passion for the project, he overcame the initial obstacles of starting something “from less than zero”.

TRUPPI has gained internationally renowned clients.
It was with great pride that TRUPPI became the first Portuguese company to join the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO). Later, it was invited to join the North American platform Ecolink.ai — a sustainable connection between quality products and responsible practices. Another international recognition rewarding TRUPPI’s values and efforts.
